Keith, Not sure about the 'perfect' that you mention. AFAIK each printhead is tested by Epson and has a series of numbers (stuck on the side?) that have to be entered into the EEPROM by the service program to correct the output of the particular printhead (none are exactly the same). So you may be very lucky in that your old and replacement printheads had exactly the same correction factors, or you just aren't seeing the difference.
