I have used the Lyson Quad Black ink set, but I gave up on them. The metamerism bothered me, and it always felt like I was fighting to get good prints from the canned ICC profiles. I've switched to MIS and I'm not looking back. When I heard about the Daylight Darkroom system, I requested a sample print, and the moment I saw it I knew I'd made the right choice. The print quality is much better than I had ever gotten (obviously), but the metamerism is still there. I'll accept that their new DD system probably makes up for many of the shortcomings of the Quad Black and ICC profile system, and I'll even admit that if I went back to them and applied what I've learned about printing from using MIS inks, I'd probably get better results, but I'm already much happier with MIS inks than I ever was with Lyson, even though I've only been using them for a short time. -Steve --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, Carolyn Frayn <carolyn@u...> wrote: > On 2/17/05 10:16 AM, "K.A.H." sent the following verbage: > > > > Hi everyone, I'm new here.
