Refurbished printers

2005-02-19 by Jack Winberg

Hi John:

I sprang for a refurbished R200 from the Epson site - $77.00
delivered. THEN I found I could have obtained a NEW one for $99, and
kicked myself while I awaited delivery. The warranty on refurbs is VERY
poorly and vaguely spelled out.

Luckily, when the printer arrived, it was in perfect shape, and ALL of the
gadgets were supplied. There are warnings that there may be omissions. I
am MOST pleased with the little beast, MUCH higher quality prints than I
expected, quiet and quick in operation. I have not yet tried out the CD
printing, but the needed pieces were furnished.

I have heard of printers arriving non-functional, but apparently Epson
immediately sent out replacements. Were I to do it all again, I would
probably go for the new one, given the very small price difference.

I don't know if I was simply fortunate, or if most refurbished printers
arrive complete and functional.

Hope this helps.............. Jack
