I'm interested in hearing from anyone who's found a good workflow for the original MIS Quadtone inks, specifically using the Epson 1200 printer. I've tried the various workflows posted on the MIS site, but have experienced limited success - posterization, dots, etc. The Chris Brandin workflow provides the most continuous tone look, but highlights tend to burn out. The other workflows seem to result in excess dots in the lighter areas. I've experimented with Epson Photo paper, Epson Matte Heavyweight, and Somerset Photo Enhanced. It seems everytime I get what I think is a good workflow for one image, I try it with another image and typically get posterized results. It seems I'm just wasting ink and paper. Anyone using the Epson 1200 and original MIS Quadtones successfully? Also, is there anyone who's made the switch to Piezography using the 1200 with satisfactory results? This seems to be the direction I'm heading. I'm much more interested in making excellent B&W prints than continually tweaking and testing. Thanks, David
