Yes, should work OK. Here is what I do to get a neutral curve. If you don't want glop to follow the light inks then just edit the LK curve in the .quad file to a straight line or whatever else you want. # Uses the MIS UT7 inks in the following positions: # K - MIS Eboni black # LK - MIS Glop # C - UT-PKN # LC - MIS UT7 LM gray # M - MIS PK # LM - MIS UT7 LC gray # Y - MIS UT7 Y Sepia # quadtone curve descriptor file # # # the printer name # the curve name # no spaces or special characters, except - or _ (dash or underscore) CALIBRATION=NO GRAPH_CURVE=NO # # number of inks must be 4, 6, or 7 # the ink limits are percentages # usually they are all the same but they can be individually set # N_OF_INKS=7 DEFAULT_INK_LIMIT=90 LIMIT_K= BOOST= LIMIT_C= LIMIT_M= LIMIT_Y=0 LIMIT_LC=45 LIMIT_LM=45 LIMIT_LK=10 # # Describe Usage of each Ink: K,C,M,Y,LC,LM,LK # All Inks of Printer must be listed # # # Gray Partition Information # use ink names: K,C,M,Y,LC,LM,LK # N_OF_GRAY_PARTS=2 GRAY_INK_1=C GRAY_VAL_1=100 GRAY_INK_2=LK GRAY_VAL_2=20.4 GRAY_INK_3= GRAY_VAL_3= GRAY_INK_4= GRAY_VAL_4= GRAY_HIGHLIGHT=4 GRAY_SHADOW=8 GRAY_OVERLAP=10 GRAY_GAMMA=1 GRAY_CURVE= # # Toner Partition Information # N_OF_TONER_PARTS= TONER_INK_1= TONER_VAL_1= TONER_INK_2= TONER_VAL_2= TONER_HIGHLIGHT=0 TONER_SHADOW=0 TONER_GAMMA=1 TONER_CURVE= # # Unused Inks # N_OF_UNUSED=2 UNUSED_INK_1=K UNUSED_INK_2=M UNUSED_INK_3= UNUSED_INK_4= # # the following is a special UltraChrome ink flag # it copies the light-black curves to the light-cyan and light-magenta inks. # this insures that the LC and LM inks are used to directly neutralize # the color of the light-black. # the color balance of inks is controlled by the LIMIT_... values above. # UC_NEUTRALIZER=YES LINEARIZE="0.050 0.120 0.191 0.265 0.343 0.410 0.491 0.566 0.648 0.739 0.841 0.948 1.082 1.221 1.358 1.526 1.682 1.873 2.066 2.167 2.387 " On Feb 21, 2005, at 8:08 AM, Steve Kale wrote: > > > Carl/Roy > > Perhaps I am doing something stupidly wrong here but, I am trying to > construct a curve using PKN (K-slot) and the two UT7 light inks - cool > light > grey in the LM slot and warm light grey in the LC slot.
