The new HP PhotoSmart 8750 printer has a nine-color system with three blacks (black, dark grey, and light grey). Taken with a grain of salt, the web site states that the prints will last over 100 years under glass and over 200 years in storage. The inks are dye-based. I've heard that HP printers have the print head on the ink tank and thus would negate any problems with print heads clogging and rendering the printer useless. Does anyone know if this is true of all HP printers? Has anyone had any experience with HP printers in general? And specifically B&W printing? A quick review I saw said the B&W quality was very good, but I have no idea of this person's qualifications to make such a judgement. I'd post the review but now I can't find it. Oh, well.
