Re: [Digital BW] Torchon and Structure Price Comparison

2001-08-10 by Michael J. Kravit

Martin,

I buy 37"x47" sheets of Hahnemuhle Torchon, William Turner and German Etching. I pay $250 for 25 ($10 a sheet) sheets from my local distributor. He cuts the sheets in half so I get 50 sheets of approx 24"x36" for $250 ($5 a sheet). I then cut these down further reducing the cost.

I have the dealer make the first cut on their machine because my Rotatrim will only handle 24" wide sheets.

  Steadman,

Thanks for all the good info. Cutting down the larger sheets is a
great idea on these expensive papers. I have perfectly good Rotatrim
  collecting dust.
