Peter, I did buy a pack and I am using it with my Linoscan 1400 to scan 4x5 negatives at 1200 dpi. I do not see anything in the scans from the UltraBase but I don't consider myself an expert in this either. I have all the materials for wet mounting with Kami fluid but have not tried it yet. When I do I will post a comparison with the UltraBase. Wish I had more scanner resolution. Someday a Polaroid 45 Ultra maybe.
