Bottom line that counts right? :) A friend tried the LS8000 prior to 9000's release, and was not happy with it, I decided on the microtek120tf when I couldn't find the polaroid any longer, same machine, and I wanted the more diffused light source vs the Nikon. Was recommended by other friends very happy with the polaroid 120 whose prints I had seen. The other issue that I had with Nikon was support (in Canada) when my LS2000 went wonky.. The Microtek support has been great. The microtek 120tf now lists approx 2300 CDN, the LS9000 approx 3200 CDN... The other consideration is the glass film holder cost difference... Anyway, just thoughts for the fellow who asked about the microtek120tf. Carolyn
