Peter, Does sound like a lot of work! The Kami fluid is supposed to clean up easily. I will probably go with putting the neg directly on the scanner glass like I have with the UltraBase. That probably is about 1.5 to 2mm lower than the intended position but it seems better to have it flat than sagging in the flimsy holder.
