Ah, thanks Nick. If my NEW reinstall fails, I'll try this. This is what I did--I uninstalled, went to Programs and deleted the log and the bin folder (after I looked at the log which recorded a long string of GIMP at the end). Then I rebooted, downloaded a new copy of the app and installed. So far, so good. I've printed 2 so far. Now--I'm having trouble getting a print with just a hint of 'warm' to it-- Thanks for the reply. I've archived the information in case I need it. Diane ----- Original Message ----- From: Nick H. Hi Diane, In an earlier post you mentioned that even after you uninstalled, then reinstalled, the last settings were still remembered. Do you want to try one more thing? Uninstall. Then navigate to the Program Files directory and rename QuadtoneRIP directory to something else, and reinstall (maybe just delete the file QuadtoneRIP/bin/QTRgui.ini is sufficient, but to play it safe just rename the whole thing). In earlier versions of QTR, especially QTRGui, I had to do the same thing to get it to work as the newer version was expected to. I hope that this will work for you but if it it doesn't ... I have no other idea. --nick [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
