I have the 'old' softproofing info from Carl's site and also the info from Roy's site--didn't mesh for me and now this makes it clear why I was confused. Roy has created an ICC profile methodology which uses Perceptual Intent to map from the workspace, QTR Gray LAB, to the print space QTR Gray Matte Paper or QTR Gray Photo Paper.
