I use Deadman's custom sharpener for sharpening 16 bit grayscale scans. 
  Results are as good as PK sharpening, but without the inconvenience of 
converting to RGB and the enormous file sizes.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
