Richard,

Converting between different spaces results in data loss through rounding errors and other factors; which will result in image degradation. Working in 16-bit, though, you probably wouldn't notice whatever degradation occurs.

I agree with Lou...in general, I would avoid converting spaces unless really needed to complete a task that can't be done in your usual working space.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
