Digital BW, The Print

I have two printers one a 2200 (only color) and a 1280 (B&W only). 
The 1280 went bust (the repair costs more than the unit), and now I'm 
debating what to do.
Should I get a new 1280? a new 2200?? or the new 1800.
I thought if I got the 1800 then I would make the 1800 color only and 
convert the 2200 B&W only.
Open for suggestions and comments.
