David, I'm very familiar with IJC/OPM and love it, but don't have or use Qimage. You may sish to send an email to Joe Berndt at Bowhaus and see if he can answer how or if IJC/OPM works with Qimage. His email is software@.... I know OPM will print TIF, PSD, JPG, grayscale, RGB, 8 bit and 16 bit images, so it is very flexible. The Windows version of OPM also has a set of sliders for RGB images, very similar to Photoshop's channel mixer, so you can blend channels on the fly. Unlike PS, it also has a checkbox to retain overall luminosity, so the sliders work in concert with one another.
