Digital BW, The Print

Nope. No difference really. I send 8bit to my printer. Make sure that 
you flatten when you convert from 16bit to 8bit though. Otherwise it's 
pointless. If you have blocked shadows to begin-with with noticeable 
banding, keep it in 16bit. 8bit conversion will just worsen that 
problem. (I've had to do 16bit with only 3 photos in the last two 
years. It doesn't really come up much.)
