My 1280 recently signalled that the waste pads were full. I successfully reset the printer manually. I live in a small village in a remote province of a little country (and I'm old and testy besides), and it would have been annoying to send the printer far away because of Epson's notorious propensity for setting their machines such that they prematurely stop printing. Now I'm told that neither the 2200 or the new 1800 can be reset manually. Is this true? Does anyone know if the not-yet-here 1800 will use the same carts as the 2200? MIS' spongeless carts sound like a real blessing. Bob Bollini
