Would we then be able to use the R800, as well as the R1800, for B&W? 
I'm guessing the drivers could be enough different to prevent the 
R1800 ink set from working for the R800 too.

I ask because I'm interested in the best short-run printer for 
reproducing old family photos for my relatives, and nearly all the 
old prints I have to scan are less, usually a lot less, than even 
8x10.
