I went through the entire thread, and apparently nobody has suggested playing with the 'gamma' slider. When I started using QTR with UT2 inks, i had very flat muddy shadows with poor separation. I wasted quite a while playing with profile blends and max black settings, then out of desperation tried the gamma slider. Using a setting of - 7 i was able to produce a very close match of printer output with my screen images, without changing max black or mixing profiles. Since your problem seems to be the opposite, ie too little contrast in the midtones, perhaps *increasing* gamma toward 'darker' with the slider will solve your problem. ted
