Digital BW, The Print

Hi,
I am a new user of this rip, at 1st glance its quite feature packed I 
want to do the following but cannot figure it out how to do it.

1. I dont have epson 4000/10000 but a commercial printer in our city 
has these printers & I want to rip the file so it can be printed 
there. Is it possible to "rip to file" or else I have a cute Pdf 
printer which can print  & convert all files to pdf, but QTR does not 
work with it, it shows spooling but saves a blank pdf file.

2. I want to make a test strip of all combination using various 
profiles, can QTR make small images 2x3 inch on a a3 size so I can 
compare which one to choose from.

What does different Dithering alogrithm do, is there any description 
of each as to which image I should use what alogrithm.
