By far the best thing about Tucson is the Center. I worked there for 3 years when I was in school. I used to show the collection to researchers and students. It is an amazing collecton if you like early American photography through the say 1980's. When most of the "masters" were still alive. I was there when W.Eugene Smith lived there just before he died. You need to make an appointment to spend a couple of days and go throught the archive books. Stiegligz, Weston, Cunningham, Smith, Callahan, Siskind, Curtis, WH Jackson, Watkins,Muybridge,Caponigro,Gowin,A Adams, Bullock, Sommer, Laughlin much of the major work of these people are there. And a lot of stuff from the 50's and 60's like Irving Penn, etc.. You need to see Saguaro National Monument West and SNM East. Drive to Gates Pass overlooking Old Tucson, the Hollywood western town from a lot of the old movies. And a drive up Mount Lemon is nice and cool. Sabino Canyon is on the way up there. Then there is the Biosphere???? Is that thing still there? Alien Creatures. This page design interface looks like an aol product. I don't like it. Alfred Stieglitz
