I have not used them myself but from what I understand, Lyson inks have a different pH so flip-flopping without using the cleaning fluid would be a problem. As far as using OEM dye carts to try getting rid of a rebel clog, I think that the solvent in the dye inks is actually the one doing the heavy-duty work. I am not sure what solution is used to dilute the pigments but it seems to be less effective in that task.
