I wouldn't. I just bought my second 1280 to use with UT2 inks. My original 
1280 is over four years old and has seen moderate use over that time with 
only pigment inks. The failure, when it came, was apparently due to a 
circuit board problem according to members of this group who had previously 
experienced the problem I'm now seeing. Until this problem cropped up, this 
printer was performing nearly flawlessly. That's why I bought another and 
plan to transfer my old CIS with UT2 inks from the old to the new one.
