Kelly, Go to MIS website and look up the new spongeless carts for the 1280. I was having the same trouble as you, but when changed to the new carts; all that clogging went away. I really think it was foam buildup in the sponge. The new ones are filled from the top with a syringe and needle and then sealed with stoppers. Witha bottom adapter, draw just enough to start the ink flow and you put them in the printer and if you check your nozzles with the nozzle check you'll be pleasantly surpised to see all of them fire. You are ready for a print almost right away after filling. It seems to help to put a full cart. I get it back but it's getting expensive and > more difficult, It is only that position, the others are good. I run a nozzle check almost > every day. Thans Kelly
