Digital BW, The Print

My 1280 crashed. Il oved it...especially with UT2 inks from MIS. No 
profiles...just run it. Now I have a new 2200. HAd it two days. Assumed 
I could just print my normal BW images ....and get average results 
without lots of fiddling around. Instead, I am getting magenta tones 
and inconsistancy in images. I just want to press the darn button and 
get the rich tones I was getting from the 1280. Have I screwed up in 
getting the 2200? Is there a simple way to get what I want....and the 
promise of better image later as I learn the ropes?  I am about ready 
to take the darn thig back so your early repsonse will be helpful. All 
I wanted was archival inks that didn;t clog. -
