It may be time for new dampers.  I think the machine had some miles on it
before I bought it.  (Frankly, I didn't shop.  It was my brother's, and his
widow needs all the help she can get.)  It worked fine at first, including
with the UT7 inkset.  I re-filled the UT7 carts and believe I forgot to suck
the air out of one of the carts.  At any rate, I ended up with a persistent
bad nozzle check with one jet that would not clear.  So, I'm letting it sit
with MIS flushing fluid for a few days now.  This may well clear it, but I'm
thinking it might be worth just replacing the dampers -- which I've never
done, but it doesn't seem like it's that hard of expensive.
