Digital BW, The Print

Hello,

Does anyone know if a recent Photoshop CS upgrade effected color settings? I print my black and white on an HP 7960 and an Epson 9600 and all of a sudden they were printing my b&w stuff way out of whack. I was able to make adjustments to get the 9600 back to normal but the HP is still refusing to print B&W well.

I'm not a print techie but the problem on the HP seems to be that a certain number of gray values are all printing as one. The result of this is that areas of the prints that used to print with smooth gradations are now printing in a middle gray (the prints almost look like a gamut check in Photoshop when better than a third of the colors are out.

Any info or help would be greatly appreciated.
