When I ordered mine, they came with light translucent plugs in a separate small bag. The hole you put ink in with the syringe/needle must be plugged with those plugs or you will get ink dripping all over the place sooner or later. After plugging the holes, you must use a bottom adapter on another syringe and pull out just enough ink from each chamber too see in the tip of the syringe. This removes any air that is in the small chamber right at the outlet the printer pulls the ink from. After all this is done, you will simply need to perform a nozzle check and you should have perfect patterns if you had them before filling the cartridge. These are the most trouble- free cartridges I have ever used, and the problem of foam buildup is eliminated.
