Re: [Digital BW] Epson C86 with MIS EZ Ink - Clogging?

2005-04-13 by JimD

Andrei,

Can you give some more details on what you mean by reliable?

For instance, my 1270, which i use for color prints using the Epson OEM
inks, has never had a clog that I couldn't correct by running a few nozzle
cleaning cycles and then leaving the head parked overnight. I've had
this condition occur fewer than 10 times during the ~5 years I've been
using it.

On the other hand, my 1160 using MIS inks has been a clog monster.
Such a monster that I've given up BW printing until a more straight-forward
solution becomes available. The C8n printers with the MIS EZ inks sound
promising.

Thanks,
Jim
