Clayton, Thanks for your post, I think I¹m sold on the 2200. A couple of questions arise from your post, forgive a newbie on some of these but my head is spinning from all of the info I have consumed over the past couple of weeks! Firstly you refer to Eboni instead of MK, is MK the ink that ships with the Printer from Epson? And like wise are UC the inks that ship from Epson for color? I didn't know about the rear feeder which will mean I can use heavy Rag Paper which is a bonus - thanks for that! Could you let me know if I can swap the inks so say I brought a full set of UT7 from MIS can I swap them around when I need to print color from the Epson OEM's that ship with the printer and if so can you leave cartridges out of the printer after you have started using them and they not dry up? I'm guessing it's best not to do the above but I might (hope) be wrong. Finally I am interested in experimenting with QTR, do you use it and is it good for the 2200? Can you tell me what set up(s) you have for your 2200. Many thanks Paul On 18/4/05 3:22 am, "Clayton Jones" <cj@...> wrote: > > Paul, > > Some other important things about the 2200: > > 1) It has individual carts for each ink. > > 2) The color inks are pigment. > > 3) It is made for pigments and there seems to be fewer reports of > clogging problems. > > 4) It has a rear feeder for thicker papers. > > As for using Eboni instead of MK with the UC color inks - a number of > people have mentioned doing it, and I haven't seen anyone say anything > bad about it. > > I have one and it has been a very fine printer.
