Steve, I have not had time to play with the evaluation copy yet, but it appears that a grayscale image does not get converted to RGB. As this is the Digital B/W Print Group, I understood that we are here to discuss the various inksets, printers, and software available. Sometimes I get the impression from others that discussing alternatives to Piezo is a no no. I appreciate your question, and hope that others will realize that we are on the cutting edge of technology. What we do here and now will affect photography for years and decades to come. I will let you know how this product plays out.
