RE: [Digital BW] 1280 Spongeless Help

2005-04-23 by Paul Roark

Eric,

I may also have a spongeless 1280 cart that has a bad position -- LM in my
case. I'm going to do further tests to see if it's the cart or printer.

I also had an apparent failure in a 2200 easy-refill cart. The reservoir
ink appeared unable to re-fill the sponge.

So, these new carts may not be perfect. So far, however, my failure rate
seems to be better than the alternatives. Time and experience will tell us
more, I'm sure. At this point, like with the chips, I think I'd recommend
having a few extra new ones sitting around to replace the failed unit.
