There's a workaround. There will be a new DNG converter out shortly that will convert the 
new Rebel XT files to the DNG format and that file can be opened in CS with ACR or 
anyother program that supports DNG.

I do have the Rebel XT and will upgrade to CS2....paying Adobe $150.00 every 18 months 
is not a big deal.
