I have CS and downloaded ACR 2.4, the DNG Converter and a series of Adobe "White Papers" on the subject of Camera Raw processing. I don't know what 3.0 has that is new, but 2.4 is certainly a capable program, has a long list of supported cameras and is adding more all the time. If you have CS you really should give ACR 2.4 a chance before you spend a lot of money for the upgrade.
