Here is teh workaround in OS X. 

With one Black ink working in the 2200 name that setup appropriately... if Photo Black is in 
there call it "Glossy Black 2200". 

To change printer name use the Printer Setup Utility, highlight printer name and use key 
combo Command i. Rename in field. 

Then switch to Matte Black and do what ever you have to do to get the 2200 to read the 
Matte Black....such as turn printer off and/or restart computer. But don't delete the newly 
named "Glossy Black 2200" 

When the matte black is recognized name that ink combo "Matte Black 2200". 

You can swtich back and forth between black inks...just change carts and choose 
appropriate printer in the Epson Driver.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
