I use Vuescan with my Epson 4870. b&w neg setting
works just fine. Great sharpness and tonal range.
Lot's of shadow detail. For 35mm it beats what I used
to get with a Poloroid Sprintscan 4000. I use the
Epson 35mm holders and Doug's MF holder for 6x7.
