Don't believe it or not, but I 've just purchased an used 4000, downloaded the QTR and printed a perfect B&W A3 sized picture within half of an hour! This RIP is IMHO of a great value. I am now working on softproofing for B&W prints with QTR (there is a short tutorial on Roy's site) and may be, will go back to "dot gain curve" method (as used in the past for piezography with the 21 steps). But for that you need a densitometer.
