I talked to someone standing in front of a 9800 while prints were coming out and he said 
he didn't know how they did it, but that there was essentially no gloss differential.

and the 2400 uses the same inks I think???

on ink price, it doesn't take a ton of printing to make a 4800 more economical than a 
2400 since the big cart ink is so much cheaper.  And consider that the 4800 will come 
with maybe $500 worth of ink, so the "net price" is more like 1800-500=1300.
