Brian, The larger the tablet the more control you have and the less effected by hand wiggles your selections will be. I use the 9x12 and it's size has made selections real easy. The smaller you go the more precise you need to be. I have heard others say the 6x9 works for them. I'm a photographer because I can't draw to save my life and I used to have a real hard time with a mouse. The tablet fixes all that.
