See this long thread on Gailbraith's color managment forum back in March. Look for the "official" post in that thread from the GM rep (Thomas Kunz) and my and other responses. They are not budging on this issue and if you purchased your eye-one photo package prior to 12/04 you don't get access to any of the new goodies.
