I just never hear students or even amateurs discussing them. Size does not mean success, but market dominance does. HP's printer division profits are carrying the entire company. You are right about serious photographers. They are mostly running Epson and Canon. Epson may be a leader in the photo printing sub-segment, but HP and Canon are close and very threatening.
