Hello Derek, >I've gone through three boxes of Moab Kayenta, and don't think >I will be buying anymore. >These papers exhibit shiny flecks in the print. This is not >standard flaking where the ink comes off and you just see that >white of the paper below. This is something different, something >in the paper coating which interacts with the inks. That's amazing because I'm not finding anything like that. I'm currently using it for a scrapbook project for my church and now have over 60 small prints with it. I just examined some of them, both high and low key with lots of black, and can't see anything like this. But I'm using Eboni BO, so maybe it's ok with that. I'll try a UT7 print and see what happens. Maybe you got a bad batch - they do have a place on their web site to report batch numbers if there's a problem. >The only thing that helped was rubbing the paper down with an old >T-shirt. But this only helped, it didn't eliminate the problem. I do this to reduce flaking. It has some, but about average compared other papers that flake. I've found Entrada to be the worst flaker, just terrible. I know it's supposed to be the same coating as Kayenta, but I guess it's different on that paper. It also looks a bit different than Kayenta - similar but different. I doubt I'll be using any more of that.
