Re: [Digital BW] MIS inks leaking.

2005-05-21 by Brian Ellis

When I used MIS cartridges I used to almost always get that kind of thing
with the first few prints I made after installing new cartridges. As I
recall it disappeared on its own accord after three or four prints were
made. I was using a 1280 at the time.

Hello all,

Is excessive leaking a situation anyone else has encountered with MIS
UT-7 inks?

2200 Epson, ink opened and installed fresh today, 05-21-05.

Link below has 2 photos: one of the prints with ink leakage, and a
second image of the cartridges themselves--for what purpose, I don't
know. ;)

Top-most print was printed first, middle printout was printed second,
bottom print was last. Nothing was changed in regard to the cartridges
between the top-most and later prints in the photo, when the leaking
started up again [I say "again" because I had leaking on first install
when I first began to purge the system by printing on scrap paper, and
by refitting the cartridges, thought I had fixed it when the top-most
print had no spillage.] But, then it started up again.

any shared experiences, work-arounds, fixes...?
