I had the same problem with my 1160 using a CFS system, it's a real 
pain in the ass and a problem I wish MIS would address. This very 
problem is keeping me from using the UT7 inks with my new 1280.

Sorry I don't have a solution for you. Have you contacted MIS? Are 
these pre-filled carts?
