I had that on one of the outlets on my 1280 MIS spongless carts. It was leaking like crazy. basically the valve was sort of stuck open, because when I used the bottom fill adaptor to get the ink to output, the tip of the syringe got stuck in the rubber grommet and moved it a little bit to the side. I fixed it by wiggling the syringe/bottom-fill-adaptor tip inside the hole until it stopped leaking. Keep in mind that while I was doing that, the ink was just dripping out of the hole, all over my hands and the table/floor/pathway-to -the-sink. It was obvious when it was fixed, because the flood shut off suddenly. When I refilled the cart last week I was more careful about pushing the tip into the hole, and all was fine. I think the tip of the adaptor is too small and gets the rubber grommets out of whack. I think I will modifly the the tip and try to see if I can get a better design. Basically I plan to sand down the tip until it is exactly the best diameter for the hole. I will keep you posted. ....Doug M
