Yes,

The older profiles will need to be adjusted.  If you start with cutting the
existing limits in half, you will find that an older profile will then be
very close.  What I do is once I¹ve set the new lower limit, I then can
slowly increase just the black ink up.  This lets me play around with the
increasing D-Max.  The trick is not to go too high, too much ink can
re-duce D-Max.
