I have got to believe that it's possible - I would also be bashing the hell out of Epson for a firmware upgrade for a newly purchased 4000. As for MIS clones, they really need to find a better supplier of cartridges also. John Edmunds sent me a link to a supplier of carts for the 4000 but for some reason I didn't bookmark it and can't find it again. It was a retail supplier for a manufacturer which he knows well. The prices were over the top - the retailer had them for $75 an empty cartridge! but apparently the quality is fantastic. If the price were a little more reasonable then the extra cost might be worth it in the long run vs the MIS cartridges. > From: Carl Schofield <scho@...> > Reply-To: <DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com> > Date: Sat, 4 Jun 2005 09:14:12 -0400 > To: <DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com> > Subject: Re: [Digital BW] Re: Holy Moly 4800! > > Exactly what I'll be trying with my 4000, but I'm hoping that MIS > will eventually have k3 clone inks in bulk.
