Probably. I had the same thing happen a couple times. If you contact MIS 
tech support they'll suggest a couple things you can try that might fix the 
cartridge (sorry, I don't remember what they were) but the things they 
suggested never worked for me. However, I never had any trouble getting 
replacements from MIS.

I just installed my UT7 inks in my 2200 and the printer "empty
indicator" light for the LM position comes on. When I replace that
cartridge with the UC LM the light goes off. Is this another one of
those MIS poor quality control issues? If not, why is this happening?
