Steve, >In any event, tomorrow I will call MIS tech support and see what >they suggest. I an hopeful they can resolve this problem for me >quickly. Great, that is of course the best thing to do. I'm confident you will find them to be friendly and helpful. What they want more than anything else is for you to be happy and satisfied. To my best recollection, I've had 3 problems in nearly 4 years. A bad cart, a bad chip, and some mis-labeled carts (C86 carts that were labeled as 2200 carts). Of those three, only the last was truly their fault. In every case a phone call resulted in a replacement shipped immediately at no extra cost to me. >I've been reading more and more threads from members about the >poor quality control of these carts and I find this disturbing >since I've decided to "buy into" the system. This proves my point. How many is "more and more"? 2, 3, 4? If there are 1,000 customers out there and .5% have a problem and complain on this forum then a reader's perception might be that it's a bad company. But what if the other 99.5% were to post glowing reports... Life is infinitely more pleasant being an optimist. Give them the benefit of the doubt and think about what I said - anyone who sells an outsourced product has little quality control. They are at the mercy of the QC of their supplier, and can only hope to influence the supplier to do better, especially when there are few other options. The folks at MIS are working very hard to bring us the best that's available. I, for one, appreciate that extremely much (my photo life largely depends on it) and they have my thanks and vote of confidence (and my money <g>).
